LUKE MARTIN COACHWORKS

Exceptional classic car restorations and campervan conversions

We restore classic cars and convert campervans to exceptional levels of quality, detail and design.

Combining the craftsmanship of classic car restoration with the spirit of campervan adventure, we create vehicles that feel special to own, are a joy to use and that are built around the owners who love them.

Whether you own (or dream of owning) a classic or a camper, we will bring care and obsessive attention to detail to your project, working closely with you to create your perfect vehicle. One that is as beautiful as it is practical, and hand built to last.

This is a temporary website, available as we build a brand new one to celebrate us bringing two parts of Luke’s work together under one company for the first time (see ‘About Luke’ below for more information). While we’re working on the new site, please contact us with any questions or to chat about your project.

You can also browse our Gallery, Facebook and Instagram pages to see more of what we do.

What we do

We are a specialist family business bringing precision, integrity and care to outstanding classic car restorations and beautifully designed campervan conversions. With every design and project led by renowned panel-beater, Luke Martin, alongside our team of skilled and highly experienced partners, we are rooted in decades of expert craftsmanship.

Our work honours automotive heritage while creating refined spaces for modern travel and adventure – vehicles made with passion, character and longevity at their core. We believe things should be built properly and built to last. Every project is personal, quietly exceptional and made to stand the test of time.

About Luke Martin

Luke has decades of experience in his two closely linked passions of restoring classic cars and converting campervans. Both demand craftsmanship and obsessive attention to design and detail.  We bring that mindset to every project we take on.

Our team may be small, but our knowledge and experience run deep. Founder and Director Luke Martin restored his first Morris Minor at the age of eight and went on to spend more than 20 years as Head Panel Beater at Classic Motor Cars Ltd. Here he led the bodywork side of the most ambitious restoration projects of recent years, including two winners of Restoration of the Year at Octane’s International Historic Motoring Awards (for the Lindner Nocker Jaguar E-type in 2011 and the Pininfarina Jaguar XK120 in 2017).

Other highlights of Luke’s career have been restoring The Bulldog, Aston Martin’s one-off prototype, the Ian Callum Jaguar MKII, a rare Type 55 Bugatti and a unique 1930s Squire. From one-off supercars to much-loved classics rich with personal history, respect for heritage and expert knowledge informs everything he does.

Campervan conversions grew from his own family life. When travelling with a young child, we wanted the freedom of the open road, without compromising on beauty, comfort or quality. What began as personal projects for Luke evolved into refined designs and products we knew others would value, so in 2018, we set up Coachworks Conversions Ltd, with our own furniture range and conversion packages to bring calm, intuitive design and lasting quality to life on the road.

As we begin 2026, we’re excited to bring together Luke’s classic car experience with Coachworks Conversions Ltd, to form Luke Martin Coachworks Ltd.

Whether we’re restoring a classic car or crafting a campervan, our aim is the same: to create vehicles that feel special to own, are a joy to use and that are built around the people who love them. We believe the journey matters as much as the destination.
